Omg! Three weeks and Three antique shows! What a whirlwind~I can't beleive it is already the 17th of the month...
I had the pleasure of doing The C.A.L.M. Show in Santa Barbara Ca. this past weekend. Held at one of my favorite places Earl Warren Show Grounds! Such a beautiful antique show with some of the finest dealers coming together to help benefit Child Abuse. I was honored to be a part of this show. Thank you April Thede for all your help and assistance in making my first show with you successful!
Here are a few pictures of my booth~I wanted to share some of the others, but being by myself all weekend, I didn't get around to take pictures. (sorry) I did however meet some amazing, friendly dealers!
Aren't these cast iron urns GORGEOUS? They have a new home now....I have decided to keep them! (for those of you that really know me~I love to garden) I have the perfect spot for them too!
That awesome finial SOLD first thing Friday morning to a decorator in Los Angeles. (such a statement piece)
I love mannequins in my booth, especially love this child size one, very old and RARE. She is covered in old sheet music and makes such a beautiful statement at the front of my booth.
These gorgeous urns from a Florida Estate find SOLD! They looked amazing on the old store counter and backed by a pair of European shutters. The large blue French enamelware pot was scooped up my one of my favorite new customers...she also purchased all 5 of my burlap grain sack ruffled pillows for her garden!
I'm looking forward to the next C.A.L.M. show to be held the 27th, 28th, and 29th, of January. Please visit the website for more information here
Now for the switching gears!!! I'm leaving tomorrow for The All American Quarter Horse Congress!! Held in Columbus Ohio from October 7th through Oct. 30th. The Congress is the largest single breed horse show in the world. Bringing over 15,000 horses, and 650,000 spectators to the Columbus area. Can you tell how excited I am?? I will be grooming 2 of my favorite horses and taking care of one very special girl Marley Mainwaring! I love my job!!
This is Marley and Little Credit Needed aka Buster at the 2009 All American Quarter Horse Congress! I get to work with one of my favorite horse trainers Jan Ball, whom I've known since I was 10 years old. We have a blast together! That is me with the Mini Aussie (Missy) and Jan is on the end with her dog (Smokey). Even the dogs are excited to go to the Congress! You can visit Jan Ball Performance Horses here
Isn't she just the cutest kid EVER!!!?????
So that is it for now my friends....when I get back from the horse show I will be selling at the Long Beach Flea Market on the 30th of October!! Whew!!! What a month!!! Have a great week!!

~Remnants of the Past~ The Fall Show~My Booth~
Good day everyone! Charley and I had an amazing weekend with good friends, great customers, and wonderful vendors at the Remnants of the Past Fall Show. Held at the beautiful Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Words can't say how amazing the vendors were at the show this time each brought their best merchandise ! There was so much eye candy~ over 100 beautiful booths. Judy Watkins and ROTP have been named number 1 Romantic Flea Market in the U. S. by Romantic Homes Magazine. It is truly and honor to be a part of this show!
Charley spent the last 2 months building the most amazing structure for our booth~even down to hand rusting the galvanized roof! It took us 5 hours to put up the structure alone. Even the sign, Charley made for me~with custom stenciling! I'm so lucky to have such a talented husband!!
The beautiful French basket lights were made by Charley also! They were so dramatic and really made my booth stand out.
European Shutters with the original hardware, French woven Demi John bottles, French grain sack linens, French green water jugs and seltzer bottles, all displayed on two of my favorite pieces from a recent buying trip to Oregon and Washington.
Another one of my favorite vignettes ever~ this iron fleur de lis marble top table with iron skeleton frame, dress form, madonna, and lady bust~
We definitely had a variety of merchandise~saved for ROTP~The Chicken feeder a RARE find and the pharmacy sign.
I love this scale on the left, an old farmers market vegetable scale from Budapest! That gorgeous finial is from an Estate in Hancock Park and the Howe Scale on the right is another find from Oregon!
I have so many more photos to show you....just need to organize them ....so I will bring you more as soon as I can!
Thank you again Judy Watkins, your amazing staff, the worker bee's that helped me load and unload....I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing show!
