Call me crazy, but I could not help going to the Long Beach Flea Market yesterday in the pouring rain! I was so thrilled to see two of my favorite sellers, Uber Chic and Brothers of Industry....YES selling in the rain! I should have taken a picture of all us "die hards". Rain coats, umbrellas, rubber boots, tents and my trusty shopping cart! We were unstoppable!
Staying with my French Enamelware theme, I thought I would share my flea market find from yesterday. I purchased this beautiful Chocolate Pot from Brothers of Industry. I actually had my eye on it last Sunday when I was at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, but I bought so many other things from them...I forgot about the Chocolate Pot! So I was so excited to see them yesterday with the chocolate pot! These are very hard to find here in the U.S.
Isn't she pretty?
It looks like a coffee pot, but a chocolate pot has a wooden handle sticking out the back.
Look at how beautiful she blends with my other pink enamelware!

I'm so happy I made the trip down to Long Beach yesterday! That makes 82 pieces in my collection! If you get a chance stop by and say hello to Brothers of Industry...they have some really cool things! They will be at the Alameada Flea Market on Jan. 2 2011 and at the Rose Bowl on Jan. 9 2011. Kathee, thanks for commenting on my blog. I love your enamel collection. If you ever get tired of it, that stuff sells really well. Every time I put some in the booth, it sells. Happy Holidays to you and yours!!!

What a score Kathee. I have a soft spot for chocolate pots! She's a pretty one...xo
ReplyDeleteYou're brave! I was at the Rose Bowl in the nice sunny weather, but decided to forego Long Beach because of the rain. I've always wondered how many vendors show up when it rains, but it sounds like it was worth it for you! Your collection is lovely. ::Jill
ReplyDeleteI have never seen enamelware that pretty. What a beautiful chocolate pot. I will have to look out for something like that, but I am sure I won't see one. Just gorgeous! Merry Christmas!

I love your pink enamelware! You need to do a collector's book on what you have! Just awesome!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours- Tete
How beautiful! I admire your tenacity for sticking it out in the rain but it sure looks like it paid off!
ReplyDeleteHappy WW,
Judy
I'm positively swooning over your enamelware collection!!! Each piece is magnificent, but I would have to say that French Body Pitcher is my absolute fav! You are right, so difficult to find good French enamelware in the U.S. and when I do it's usually very expensive. *le sigh* But I have managed to procure some pieces over the years. A great score... definitely worth braving the elements for. *wink*
