~Remnants of the Past~ The Fall Show~My Booth~

Good day everyone!  Charley and I had an amazing weekend with good friends, great customers, and wonderful vendors at the Remnants of the Past Fall Show. Held at the beautiful Alex Madonna Expo Center in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Words can't say how amazing the vendors were at the show this time each brought their best merchandise !  There was so much eye candy~ over 100 beautiful booths.  Judy Watkins and ROTP have been named number 1 Romantic Flea Market in the U. S. by Romantic Homes Magazine.  It is truly and honor to be a part of this show!
Charley spent the last 2 months building the most amazing structure for our booth~even down to hand rusting the galvanized roof!  It took us 5 hours to put up the structure alone.  Even the sign, Charley made for me~with custom stenciling!  I'm so lucky to have such a talented husband!!
The beautiful French basket lights were made by Charley also!  They were so dramatic and really made my booth stand out.
European Shutters with the original hardware, French woven Demi John bottles, French grain sack linens, French green water jugs and seltzer bottles, all displayed on two of my favorite pieces from a recent buying trip to Oregon and Washington.
Another one of my favorite vignettes ever~ this iron fleur de lis marble top table with iron skeleton frame, dress form, madonna, and lady bust~
We definitely had a variety of merchandise~saved for ROTP~The Chicken feeder a RARE find and the pharmacy sign.
I love this scale on the left, an old farmers market vegetable scale from Budapest!  That gorgeous finial is from an Estate in Hancock Park and the Howe Scale on the right is another find from Oregon!

I have so many more photos to show you....just need to organize them ....so I will bring you more as soon as I can!

Thank you again Judy Watkins, your amazing staff, the worker bee's that helped me load and unload....I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing show!

Hello fellow bloggers...sorry it has been so long!  I've been on a few buying trips these past few weeks getting ready for our October shows.  I have been having the time of my life~can't wait for you to see my booths at the shows.  Each weekend in October we will be participating in three special shows.  The first weekend, we will be at the Three Speckled Hens in Paso Robles.  We will be in the same location as last time, on the corner just outside of the indoor booths.  The following weekend we will be at The Remnants of the Past Show in their new location at The Madonna Inn located in San Luis Obispo.  This time we have a double indoor space!  Look for the barn like structure that Charley has built for us!  Then the third weekend we will be participating for the very first time at the C.A.L.M. Show in Santa Barbara!  Whew!  I have been putting things away for each individual show...so there will be plenty of new good stuff at each show.  I will leave a link to each show so you can get directions, times and dates.

~Our Booth at The Agoura Antique Mart~ Jeanne d' Arc Living Magazine 5th Edition has ARRIVED!

Dustin and I have been so busy lately, we have been neglecting to blog!  I have so many post to share with you this week.  First I wanted to start with our space at The Agoura Antique Mart.  We felt it needed some sprucing up so, one thing led to another and we ended up redoing the entire space.   Hard work, but so rewarding!  We went with a garden theme this time, especially since the weather has been so gorgeous!  We have brought in some new pieces including a birdbath that is over 60 years old and has that beautiful mossy patina.  I found a gorgeous French iron bench while at my horse show in Oregon.  Luckily I had a friend who was able to stick it in her horse trailer so I could buy it and bring it home :) thanks Judy!  There is also a "to die for" bird cage!  Ahhhh and one of Dustin's new French basket lights...another "to die for" piece!! (click on the pictures to enlarge)
Ohhh I forgot to mention..some really cool garden statuary and iron topiaries...see the cute Dalmation in the bottom right corner?  This has turned out to be one of my fav booths!  Come visit us!
Just wanted to mention to all you Jeanne d' Arc fans...I have the new 5th edition in the store as well...hurry they go fast!

I will be receiving the 6th edition the first week of August.  There are still a few copies left of the 5th edition at The Agoura Antique Mart.

~The Alameda Flea~ Our Booth!

Dustin and I just returned from The Alameda Flea Market (Antiques by the Bay).  It was a beautiful day, warm, but so pretty!  I wanted to share with you some pictures I was able to snap in the heat of the morning.  It was so busy we were putting sold tags on things as fast as we could.  A favorite of our customers seems to be the succulents that we brought.  Two weeks ago  at the roll over Alameda, we brought 4 of these succulents (called Calandrinia Grandaflora) for display purposes.  The customers went wild over them and we ended  up selling them.  We promised to bring more to the July 3rd show.  We managed to squeeze 14 into the trailer and van, and by 7:30am they were all sold out!
Another favorite of our customers and friends at Alameda was Dustin's new lighting line.  Every light is made from re-purposed materials and was a huge attraction to the booth.  Dustin plans on making more for our future shows at Long Beach and Rose Bowl.  Great for the garden, kitchen, porch and home.  He is also working on some very cool desk and table lights!  Debuting soon!
I would also like to give a big shout out to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire!!  What an incredible show you put on!  Your friendly staff, your organized way of putting 1000 plus dealers into their spots at 4:00am....you are all amazing!  Thank you to Allen Michaan for hosting this show!  Also a special thank you to Howard who takes my phone call each month and finds just the right space for me and my trailer!  You all work so hard and it shows!!!
If you have never been to Alameda...well you are in for a treat!  First of all....it is WORTH the drive!  We personally drive 8 hours to be a vendor of this show.  Second...the vendors are amazing, putting together incredible finds!  Third...the FOOD!!!  OMG some great food, a taste of San Francisco!  Fourth...the VIEWS!  This is truly a special show,  you won't be disappointed!  Fifth...the isles to shop in are HUGE and they give/rent shopping carts and flat beds for your purchases!!!
Dustin and I had some amazing views this past weekend.. take a look..
San Francisco skyline in the background!  Look ...as far as you can see this show goes on forever!  It is like Disneyland for flea marketers...it take more than a day to get to every booth!
This was my view to the right of our booth...A HUGE container ship unloading containers all day!  Could we have asked for anything more??  Look at the size of these ISLES!  We just don't have that in So Cal.
The blue tent in the foreground is the entrance!  Thank you again Howard!  Also a big thank you to all of our old and new customers!  We will see you in September!!!  Thanks for a great show!  xok
